Ambassador Application

Being a Team Ambassador means representing both the University of Saskatchewan, your college, and your respective team's school. WMC's Ambassadors have the unique responsibility of supporting and building relationships with a team from a competing school. Really though, what are the responsibilities of a WMC Ambassador?

This form is for those students who are interested in being AMBASSADORS for competing teams at the 6th Annual World Mining Competition from October 26th to October 29th, 2017.

Ambassador Application

Ambassadors are given the unique responsibility of accompanying external teams throughout the duration of the competition. Ambassadors will be assigned a team prior to the competition weekend, and will be responsible for ensuring that the teams have a good time during their stay in Saskatoon. This is a unique opportunity to socialize and network with external schools – whether they be from across Canada or around the world! Each team requires one ambassador, so there are limited spots available.

For students interested in being GENERAL VOLUNTEERS for competing teams at the 6th Annual World Mining Competition from October 26th to October 29th, 2017.

General Volunteer Application

The World Mining Competition recruits general volunteers to help allow the competition to run smoothly, while providing the opportunity to network with teams and faculty from across Canada and the world. General Volunteers assist with preliminary and final presentations; setup and take down of the final awards gala; and various other components of the competition weekend. General Volunteers do not require the same time commitment as an ambassador, so there are flexible roles for almost any schedule!
